About me
Hi there! My name is Dan Hedberg (he/him). I'm from Sweden, where I also currently reside.
I've studied music since I was a kid, mostly playing piano, but also exploring experimental sounds, particularly in secondary school and beyond.
After graduating secondary school at Rytmus in Stockholm, I moved to Iceland for a couple of years, where I (among other things) studied New Media for one semester at the Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavik.
Back in Sweden I took some stand alone courses in electroacoustic music at EMS Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm. I also studied several languages at Folkuniversitetet; French, Swahili and Swedish sign language.
After another year abroad in Auckland, New Zealand I returned to Sweden to study sign language interpretation for 4 years, which then led to my full-time occupation as a sign language interpreter for the following 6 years. During this time I also studied Musicology - Film music and Computer game music at Stockholm University.
I currently live in Skövde, Sweden, where I recently received a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Media, Aesthetics and Narration through the Game development - Music program at University of Skövde.
A more formal CV can be found here.
Besides music, sound and noise, I also enjoy being creative with words! Below you'll find some of my texts, occasionally performed as spoken word pieces.
